Unleash your inner budding director!
AFKL will offer workshops designed for children to immerse themselves in the enchanting world of filmmaking. From light paintings to stop motion, these workshops will provide an engaging and entertaining opportunity for kids (and their parents) to explore the behind-the-scenes magic of animated filmmaking.
More about the activities:
- Light Painting Workshop: Draw with light! Join us for multiple 20-minute sessions where you'll create stunning light paintings. Using small finger lights, participants will form shapes captured by a long-exposure camera, revealing the magical effect of painting with light. Experience the enchantment of this creative process without needing to understand the technical details.
- Stop Motion: Five sets are available for children to create their own short films. They will fill out a storyboard before moving on to the production phase.
- Thaumatrope Creation: Make your own thaumatrope, a fun optical toy that demonstrates the basic principles of animation by merging
two images into one.
Children participating must be accompanied by a parent. Each session last 20 minutes with a maximum of 10 children per
session.
